Cashier's Checks

Cashier's Checks may be purchased for any amount. The checks are drawn by a bank on itself, signed by a cashier or other authorized bank officer, payable to a third party named by the customer. Cashier's checks are universally accepted. They can be purchased and used in place of personal checks when needed.

Money Orders

Money Orders can be purchased for any amount up to $999.99. Money Orders are monetary instruments and are used in place of cash or personal checks to make purchases (usually mail orders).

Travelers Checks

Our branch locations offer American Express® Travelers Checks for people who do not want to carry cash while traveling. Travelers Checks are as easy to use as cash and can be replaced almost anywhere in the world. American Express® can replace them usually within 24 hours (if lost or stolen).

Travelers Checks are available for one or two signers. One signature Travelers Checks may only be used by the original purchaser, and must be signed by this person when used. A dual-signature Check enables two people to use the same Checks. Only one person needs to be present when purchasing the Checks, but they must be signed by both people prior to use. Either person who signed the Checks may then use them to make purchases.

Travelers Checks for one person are sold in the following denominations:
$20, $50, $100, and $500

Travelers Checks for two people are sold in the following denominations:
$20, $50, and $100

Wire Transfers

Wire transfers may be initiated at any of our branch locations. A wire transfer allows you to move funds from a GreenBank account to an account at another financial institution.

A wire transfer form must be completed and signed at a branch location. The form requires that a customer have all pertinent information for a wire to be sent to another financial institution.

Information needed to complete Domestic Wires transfers:

  • Bank Name to receive the wire
  • The ABA# or routing number of the receiving bank
  • The Receiver/Beneficiary to receive the wire
  • The Receiver/Beneficiary account number
  • The Receiver/Beneficiary full physical address
  • Any special instructions that may be needed to send the wire to the receiving financial institution

Information needed to complete International Wires transfers:

  • The address of the Beneficiary bank
  • Swift or sort code if applicable
  • The country of the Beneficiary bank
  • The Beneficiary name and account number
  • Any special instructions that may be needed to send the wire to the international location

Incoming Wires:

Incoming wires received by 4:00 p.m. will be posted the same day. The beneficiary name and account number must be on the incoming wire and must match the information that we have on the account holder in order for it to be posted to the beneficiary customer's account.

Check Imaging

What is Check Imaging?

Check imaging provides you with a "picture" or "image" of your checks. These images are considered legal representations of the checks. Paper checks are converted to a digital format that can be stored on a computer system. You may access your check images through your paper statement or through GreenNet™ internet banking.

Check Imaging for Statements

Many of our customers elect to have check images sent each month in their statements instead of the original checks. The imaged checks take up less space than the originals and can even be organized in a notebook for easy access.

Check Imaging through GreenNet™

Check images are also available through GreenNet™ internet banking. When viewing account transactions, customers may click on a transaction to view the associated image.

Are check images acceptable proof of payment?

Yes. Check images are an acceptable proof of payment. The Internal Revenue Service, the state legislature, and the courts have all accepted check imaging as proof of payment.

Safe Deposit Boxes

If you need a secure place to store your important documents and valuables, we offer safe deposit boxes at many of our branch locations. Safe Deposit Boxes size and availability may vary at each of the branch locations. Sizes range from: 5" X 2" to 20" X 20". Prices range from $1.00 per square inch (per year when utilizing auto debit) to $1.50 per square inch (per year when making a manual payment).

Contact your local branch office location for more information.
